Playstation Vita First Day Buy?
Since the world wide release dates are drawing near of the Playstation Vita, 22 February, many people are wondering whether they should purchase this console on launch although diehard fans would have already imported the Ps vita; well here are some reasons why they might not want to.
Sony, or every other electronics company for that matter, has a tendency to release newer versions of their products as early as the next year. There were 4 versions of the psp so you can see the probability of a slimmer or an updated version of the Ps vita coming out in just a few years’ time. It seems as though Sony purposely left out things such as the hdmi port in order to confirm the sales of the possible next version of the Vita.
It is a known fact that launch consoles have a lot of bugs the Playstation 3 had the ylod the xbox 360 had the rrod and many other different errors. Hence it may be wise to wait until the kinks are completely worked out and the system is bug free. Otherwise it may be a long restless wait till the errors get fixed and the same goes for the software updates which just keep on coming.
As with any new console the game prices are high, depends if it’s your own money or your parents, and Vita is no different even though the digital versions of the games are said to become cheaper than the physical counterparts they still are expensive and anyone could realize that games become way more affordable after a few months of their release as their sales go down so do their prices.
Considering the Playstation Vita’s stance in Japan and how the retailers have decreased the price of the Vita due to the lack of sales it is highly likely that the console may get a price drop just a few months after its worldwide launch. This point can further be stressed upon by the recent price drop of the Nintendo 3ds that just launched last month, so do you want to be on the wrong side of the price drop? Of course you don’t so are you still buying the vita on launch day? Probably, this article wouldn’t have changed your mind however these are points to be taken into consideration.
